About Our Partners

Seva Stray identifies strong allies dedicated to animal welfare in India and provides these organizations much needed financial assistance based on where it can make the most difference:

  • Spay and Neuter (Animal Birth Control - ABC) programs.
  • Helping injured and sick animals.
  • Vaccinating against rabies and other life threatening diseases.
  • Awareness programs to promote co-existence.

We meet each partner and perform reviews of their operations and processes to better assist with their needs.  We maintain close relationships with our partners to ensure our support is fully transparent and goes toward areas with the highest need.

Whenever possible, we volunteer with them and focus on in-kind donations like medicine and supplies to make use of buying power and let our partners focus individually on what they do best – animal rescue, treatment, vaccinations and sterilization programs.

PARTNERS

Peedu's People

Peedus People Animal Rescue

We heard about Peedus People from a mutual friend of ours as we were working on our own efforts to help the dogs. A few different people mentioned Inder and all the great work that he's doing with the dogs and that we should meet him. Inder and Peedus People have an incredible story and we found ourselves having a lot in common. Inder left the United States and moved back to India to help the animals that he cares so deeply about.

Peedus People is focused on doing something that the local organizations and government programs don't: spaying and neutering of dogs younger than 6-8 months. This is a crucial step in making progress in ABC (animal birth control) programs as you can easily access the dogs, prevent them from having a litter and also vaccinate them.

They're also doing a tremendous and we are excited to support them in their efforts to:

  • Educate the public, bring awareness and teaching respect for all living beings
  • Fighting for animal rights
  • Conducting humane spay and neuters along with their street dog foster program where they involve communities to support their local dogs
  • Helping un-adoptable Indian dogs get adopted overseas.

Help Animals India

help animal india

We first met Eileen, the Founder of Help Animals India, at the Animal Rights Conference in Washington, DC in 2016.  We learned about all of the fantastic initiatives they support to help India's animals and became fans and donors immediately.  Now we are excited to be partnering even further with them to advance their important work across India.

Help Animals India is dedicated to supporting efficient and effective animal protection organizations in India.  They seek out the best of India's under-funded animal welfare organizations to provide financial and practical assistance where it can make the most difference. They strive not only to achieve immediate benefits for India’s animals, but to nurture an enduring culture of animal protectionism.  This builds capacity through education, consultation, networking, and financial support, which enables these groups to fulfill their aims, grow, and most importantly, help more animals.

Yogi Street Dog Rescue

We were introduced to Melody through another animal rescue, and were so inspired by her story of visiting India to study yoga and leaving India on a mission to help reduce the suffering of the country's millions of street dogs.  We are honored to be able to help Melody and her network of animal rescue organizations in India.

Yogi Street Dog Rescue Society is committed to ending the needless suffering of vulnerable, at risk street dogs in India through community support and education. They work to achieve this through spay and neuter programs, as well as by funding feeding programs and ongoing medical treatments. They also provide safe international transportation and placement in forever homes. No dog deserves to suffer alone on the dangerous streets.

Please consider donating to Yogi Street Dog Rescue.
